When you first come to your appointment
we sit down with you and the design process starts with initial showings of pieces in our store to help inspire you. Keeping your inspirations in mind, we will create sketches of the piece. The drawings will then be presented to you for review and approval. Once we agree on the design you would like, the next step of the process is where the magic begins!
Design Bar
Our drawings are presented in our design bar for you to see in high definition on multiple screens. Our client’s happiness is our top priority and we will make changes and improvements to your design until you are fully satisfied. After your final design approval, we will turn your jewelry sketch into a printed 3D model. We use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to develop three dimensional models and make realistic representations of jewelry.
Here are the steps to creating a custom piece with us
Step I
The first step involves you working directly with the jewelry designer and discussing your ideas. This will help us get to know you better so we can better serve your needs. It is helpful to bring a picture of what inspires you to this meeting; it can be a photograph, hand drawn or off the internet. We can use this as a means of understanding your style so we can help create something that you’ll love wearing. We have made thousands of custom pieces over the years so we are confident in our ability to find something to fit your style. We also have catalogs and examples of our past work to help you get inspired.
Step II
The second step involves discussing the details of your design to create sketches. This is when we will hear your honest feedback and make revisions until you’re happy with the final product. Our jewelers use the latest technology to take into account model proportions, scales, comfort, gemstones, and other details to get the ideal jewelry sketch for further 3D modeling processing.
Step III
Once we get final approval the jewelry goes into production and a cast model is made either by hand or by machine depending on the design.
From Start to Finish
The whole process should take about 3 weeks. Rush orders are available subject to specifications or last minute changes to the design. All custom jewelry is under a warrantee and includes a complimentary appraisal and lifetime warranty.
